Passive WiFi analytics

Sensors the size of a WiFi access point listen for the signals phones already broadcast. Everything is anonymised on the sensor itself, in 1–3 seconds, and your dashboard fills in near-realtime.

Runs: Short events · roadshows · long events · permanent installs

What it answers

  • How many unique devices were in each zone, and when
  • How long they stayed, and how many genuinely engaged
  • How visitors moved between zones, and which paths they preferred
  • How many came back — within one event or a contracted campaign

Inputs

  • Publicly broadcast WiFi probe frames from phones in range (~10 m per sensor)
  • Signal strength and timing — the raw device identifier is hashed on the sensor and never stored
  • Zone layout: which sensors cover which areas, fixed at deployment

Outputs

  • Impressions and unique visitors, down to 15-minute intervals
  • Zone, site and repeat visits; first/last seen; dwell time and engagement by zone, cluster and site
  • Zone affinity, flow explorer and engagement graph
  • HITmap: hotspots, interest and traffic at 10-minute granularity — perimeter detection, not positioning

Privacy boundary

Anonymised on the sensor itself, in 1–3 seconds — raw device identifiers are never stored. Each device is assigned a pseudonymous identity, irreversibly de-linked at campaign end. No report cell ever represents fewer than 12 devices — in production since 2019. Aggregate statistics only: no profiles are created, stored, or delivered.
